This year, every Friday of the Great Lent, we were honored to sing with deep emotion the Salutations to the Most Holy Theotokos in all the Parishes of the Orthodox Metropolis of Korea.
Along with the Salutations to the Most Holy Theotokos, God provided us with the special opportunity, through the intercessions of His Holy Mother, to hear the word of God from Metropolitan Ambrosios of Korea at St Nicholas Cathedral in Seoul.
This year’s series of sermons was based on the hymnography of the Triodion, aiming mainly on emphasizing the great dependence of the Church hymns on the Holy Bible, which in several cases even reaches its verbatim setting. In this way, everyone could better understand the great theological value of Orthodox Hymnography and the wonderful audio-visual teaching method of the Orthodox Church, through which it teaches the faithful the word of God throughout the centuries.
