With the help of God, the Summer Retreat of the Korean Orthodox Youth (SYNDESMOS) was completed at the permanent facilities of the Metropolis in Chuncheon, from July 26th to 28th, 2019.
During the daily program, over forty SYNDESMOS members had the opportunity to participate in worship, confession, discussions based on the general theme of the Camp: “Lord, teach us to pray”. They also enjoyed happy moments of entertainment and brotherly communication and fellowship.
The participants were also informed by Eleni Hyewon Cho, on the occasion of her participation in the Halki Summit III (31 / 5-4 / 6/2019), about the ecological activities of the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
The Metropolitan of Korea expressed his thanks to the members of the Korean SYNDESMOS for their participation in the various activities of the Korean Orthodox Church and urged them to show the same zeal during the celebrations of the 120th Anniversary of the Orthodox Church in Korea, which is being prepared by the Metropolis for 2020.
